Thought for the Week

You can’t have dark without light. You can’t have happy without sad.
Everything has its opposite. This is important not just in theory but also in experience. Part of how we perceive our experience is based on change. I know I am happy because I can compare what I am feeling to when I felt sad. Without sadness, happiness would simply be “blah.”
Am I open my entire emotional experience? While I do not want to dwell on my uncomfortable emotional experiences, do I allow them to inform me of my comfortable ones?
