Therapeutic Disclosure Intensive
The discovery of sexual betrayal can be an overwhelming experience for betrayed partners. Willow Tree Counseling’s Therapeutic Disclosure Intensives help couples to find clarity and truth following this revelation.
These Therapeutic Disclosure Intensives are led by addiction and trauma experts Jeanne Vattuone and Tim Stein. Their expertise in the fields of betrayal trauma and compulsive sexual behavior, along with their certifications as Certified Sex Addiction Therapists (CSAT) and Certified Clinical Partner Specialists (CCPS), sets them apart from other helping professionals.
The disclosure process is tailored to meet the specific needs of each couple and their unique situation. Willow Tree Counseling’s Therapeutic Disclosure Intensives prepare the couple for disclosure by providing online or in-person sessions to educate the couple, gather background information, create support plans, develop questions from the betrayed partner and answers from the betraying partner, polygraph assistance, finalizing the disclosure document, and much more.
During the two-day intensive, the couple will have individual and conjoint therapy sessions to complete the sharing of the disclosure documents, address questions and answers related to the disclosure information, discuss boundaries, and create a Relapse Agreement that will allow the couple to move forward. Tim and Jeanne will also introduce the innovative Relationship Agreement. Additional services such as EMDR, Brainspotting, coordination with polygraph examiner, and the completion of the Impact letter, Empathy letter, and Relationship Agreement are available.
Following the Intensive, the couple will meet with their assigned therapist individually and as a couple. This will help facilitate any needed clarifications, education and support the couple in transitions back to their primary support team.
