Remove the Poison Arrow?
Suppose a man is stuck by a poisoned arrow and the doctor wishes to take the arrow out immediately. Suppose the man does not want the arrow removed until he knows who shot it, his age, his parents, and why he shot it. What would happen? If he were to wait until all those questions have been answered, he might die first. –Buddha
There are times to understand how and why something happened. There are times to simply address and fix the problem.
Am I addressing problems in my life or am I wondering why they are happening? Is the “why” more important than the “solution” in every case? What might change if I address the problems and trust that the “why” will emerge in time?
