It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.
Addicts are notorious for wanting to control. But while attempting to control outcomes feels comfortable, it is limiting. We limit ourselves to the outcome we desire. However, many outcomes we do not desire have significant gifts embedded in them. Acting with integrity and accepting the outcome is a basic tenet of recovery.
When have I tried to control a situation to create the outcome I desired? In what ways has my desire to control limited me? What gifts await me as I let go of control and trust the process?
