“I have accepted fear as a part of life – specifically the fear of change, the fear of the unknown; and I have gone ahead despite the pounding in my heart that says: turn back, turn back, you’ll die if you venture too far.” -Erica Jong
Fear is a normal and healthy emotion. It is the emotion that says “Be careful and wise as you navigate this situation.” However, many of us interpret fear as an emotion that encourages us to stop; stopping does us no good. Accept your fear and use it to guide you in moving forward cautiously.
When have I felt fear? Have I used fear as an indication to stop or be careful? What gifts await me if I use fear as a sign for caution instead of a sign to stop?
