“There is nothing worse than taking something into your head: it turns into a revolving wheel that you can’t control.” –Ugo Betti

Controlling what we think about is easier said than done.  Obsession and preoccupation are signs that something has become a “revolving wheel” in our head.  It is more effective to avoid things that create obsession and preoccupation than it is to try and stop being obsessed or preoccupied.  If we open ourselves to ideas, messages, and images that start turning the wheel of obsession and preoccupation, we put obstacles in our path to happiness an success.

Am I consciously aware of what I am bringing into my head?  If something that does not work for me is acting like a “revolving wheel” in my head, am I willing to reach out to others and ask for support and guidance?
