Thought for the Week

“What we do today, right now, will have an accumulated effect on all tomorrow.” –Alexandra Stoddard

We have choices every day of our lives.  Some choices seem small (what we do when a teller gives us too much change, do we speed through a yellow light when we are in a hurry).  Some choices seem larger (how we respond to a partner’s unkind action, what we do when we realize we have behaved disrespectfully but others have not seemed to notice).  All of these choices are larger than the immediate situation; our choices build upon each other.  Choose wisely, for you are constantly reinforcing the foundation of your life and who you are with even the smallest of choices.

Are my choices, even the small ones, moving me toward being the person I want to be?  Would the person I want to be make different choices than I am making now?
