This is what I have trained for

Sometimes we interpret challenges, problems, and conflicts as things to be avoided.  And, while I do not recommend you create challenges and problems just for the heck of it, I also do not recommend avoiding them at all costs.  Because you are reading this, you are most likely a person who is interested in looking at your life and making healthy changes.  Reading this Thought for the Week, reading other self-help material, going to therapy, attending support groups, etc. is your training regimen.  These actions are preparing you to more effectively address the challenges, problems, and conflicts of life; this is what you have been training for!

What challenges, problems, or conflicts are in my life today?  What have I done to “train” for them?  How can I apply my past “training” to these situations?
