When we find ourselves in emotionally painful situations, we hope for a solution to allow the emotional pain to resolve. The good news is there is a solution that moves us out of our pain. The bad news is that the solution is feeling and moving through our pain. By embracing our pain, understanding what is creating our pain, and slowly and consistently putting pieces in place to change the situation, we find ourselves moving through our pain to the joy that awaits us.
Am I trying to avoid my pain? What would change if I worked through my pain instead? What is my pain asking me to learn?
