It takes a lot of work to be lazy.  -Carpenter saying

When a carpenter cuts wood, it is permanently cut.  It can’t be undone.  If you cut a board the wrong length (especially too short) you have to get more wood; measure twice, cut once.  We can learn a lot from this.  We can take the lazy way and assume we are on a recovery path that works or we can check in with peers, therapists, and/or sponsors to double check that our path and choices are good ones.  It’s easier to make small adjustments than to put life back together after a significant relapse.

How have I been lazy in my life or recovery?  How might I double check my current direction?  What gifts await me as I become more diligent?
