“The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or a hostile universe.”  –Albert Einstein

Experiencing the consequences of our addiction, the universe can feel like a very hostile place.  Holding onto this view holds us back.  However, when we let go of the idea that we live in a hostile universe, work our recovery, and start to trust the universe, we find that the universe conspires to assist us.  In recovery, the universe is a very friendly place.

When have I viewed the universe as hostile?  What consequences came my way?  What gifts await me as I move forward in recovery and open myself to a friendly view of the universe?
