Thought for the Week

Be careful where you step.

One beautiful day while enjoying companionship and conversation, I narrowly missed stepping in something gross on the sidewalk.  These “sidewalk bombs” are a hazard whether it’s a beautiful day spent with others or a dreary day walking alone.  While I do not advocate missing the scenery by looking for “sidewalk bombs”, I also do not advocate ignoring where you step.  This is as true for walking around the block as it is for walking in a relationship.  Be careful where you step.

Am I paying attention to the potential consequences of my “steps?”  What would change if balanced my experience of what is around me with paying attention to my steps?  What might I avoid tracking into my life?
