Lies feed addiction.

“We tell lies when we are afraid… afraid of what we don’t know, afraid of what others would think, afraid of what will be found out about us.  But every time we tell a lie, the thing that we fear grows stronger.” –Tad Williams

We must face our fear in order to heal.  If we continue to give into our fear of being out of control, being completely known, or of not being enough, we continue to feed our insecurity and the beast that drives us in our addiction.  Honesty stops feeding the beast and allows for positive and healthy growth.

What am I afraid of?  How has this fear fed my addiction?  What gifts await me as I acknowledge my fear and embrace honesty?
