Thought for the Week

Mark Twain once noted that his life had held many serious crises, some of which had actually happened.
Listen to the stories people tell about having been personally wronged. There is often one particular theme involved; “they did this to me on purpose.” However, when you hear the other side of the story, what often is clear is that “they” had no intention of “doing this” to you. What you assumed was obvious was absolutely NOT obvious to the other person. So, are you in an actual crisis or are you experiencing events from a different perspective?
What significant crises have I held onto from my past? Were these actual crises or misunderstandings? What “crises” might I avoid by making an effort to “be on the same page” as others?
