Our Experience is not Reality
When we assume that our experience is the accurate, totality of reality, we create chaos in our relationships. In truth, our experience is only one perspective of a much larger reality. Other people frequently experience events and situations in vastly different ways than we do. And yet, their experience is still accurate. It is simply a different perspective. When we let go of our narrow perspective and open ourselves to the information that others share with us, we are able to grasp a much clearer picture of reality.
Am I confusing my experience with reality? What information is available to me if I open myself to another’s perspective of the same situation?
