Thought for the Week

People of great achievement access their brains the same way addicts do.

In order to achieve great things, you must have an intense focus and passion that allows you to, at least temporarily, block out everything else.  This is very much what addicts do when their addictive thoughts and urges take over.  Once an addict finds sobriety and the life balance that comes with recovery, they have the ability to achieve great things by changing their destructive addictive system into a creative and focused system.

In what ways has the destruction of my addiction showed up in my life?  What steps could I take to embrace healthy creativity and focus?  What could I achieve if I stopped undermining myself with addiction?
