That is not a monkey you want in your circus.
A circus is fun, entertaining, and unpredictable. And yet, there are some acts or attractions that are simply more trouble than they are worth. Life is much the same; it is fun, entertaining, and unpredictable but there are some things better left out. Addiction is one of those. It offers escape but the cost is excessive. When have I given my addiction a place in my life? What has been the cost? What gifts await me as I take steps to get this “monkey” out of my life?
