The Sword of Gryffindor only takes in that which makes it stronger.

In The Harry Potter series, there is an item known as The Sword of Gryffindor.  This magical sword “only takes in that which makes it stronger.”  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could operate that way?  We are constantly surrounded by situations, experiences, and information.  Some of this makes us stronger and some of this tears us down.  We have a choice to reject things that are toxic to us and, like the Sword of Gryffindor, only take in things that make us stronger.

Am I paying attention to what I take in?  What am I taking in that brings me down?  What would change if I consciously took in only that which makes me stronger?
