What People Remember
I have learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
While I may be able to maneuver or talk my way out of sticky situations with others, how do they feel about me in the process? If I come out of a situation feeling unscathed but others feel hurt, used, or manipulated, I have created a legacy that will live with others, often unconsciously, and very well may come back to haunt me. If I am forthright, honest, and present with others, what feeling will they remember after the details of the interaction have faded?
