“If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” -Mark Twain

When we are dishonest, by lying or simply leaving out important details, we have to track what story we have told and with whom so that our dishonesty is not discovered.  This is mentally taxing and stressful which has a physical and emotional impact on us.  Worse yet, in the long run, our dishonesty is usually discovered anyway.  When we are honest and transparent in our lives, not only do we not experience the stress of having secrets waiting to be discovered but we have more physical and emotional energy available for creating positives in our lives.

In what ways am I dishonest with others, either obviously or subtly?  What am I afraid will happen if the truth were known?  If I did not need to track my dishonesty, what positives could I create with this freed up energy?
