“Wisdom is the ability to know what is worth being upset about.” -Patrick Carnes

There are situations in life that are worth being upset about and there are situations that are not.  Our initial emotional reaction is not usually a good indicator of which is which.  While a situation may justify our feeling angry, it may not be wise to hold onto or act from that anger.  As we gain life experience, we receive the wisdom of knowing when it is worth holding and expressing our anger and when it is not.

Am I upset about something?  Have I stopped and asked myself if this situation is actually worth being upset about?  What would change in my life if I consider what is worth being upset about instead of simply reacting?
