Thought for the Week

You can’t talk your way out of something you behaved your way into.
Being able to effectively talk about and explain our choices and actions is important. However, talking will not solve problems created by our choices and actions. At best, it will provide a Band Aid. The real solution to these problems comes as we change our behaviors consistently over a period of time. Behavioral change plus consistency is healing. Talk is just window dressing.
Am I changing my behavior or just talking a good story? What would addressing my problems through behavior change look like? What gifts await me and others if I focus on behavior change instead of explanations?
